Founded over 100 years ago, Royal Mid Surrey Golf Club is an island of tranquility in an increasingly demanding, stressful, modern world. Set in Royal Parkland at Richmond-Upon-Thames, it shares a bend in the River Thames with the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. It enjoys the most accessible of locations being only 9 miles from the centre of London, the M25 orbital motorway and Heathrow Airport. The Club has two fine 18 hole courses - the Outer & Inner - designed by the great J H Taylor, five times Open Champion and Club Professional for 47 years. Both courses enjoy the benefit of an irrigation system which waters all fairways and aprons as well as putting greens and teeing grounds. The result is 36 holes, which retain a green lushness even during the highest temperatures.
