Hillside Golf Club is situated in Southport, 'England's Golfing Capital'. The course forms part of England's finest stretch of coastal links being adjacent to Royal Birkdale and Southport & Ainsdale with Formby Golf Course a few miles down the road. Situated next door to Royal Birkdale, Hillside has been the subject of differing quotes from two Open Champions: Jack Nicklaus described Hillside as a "wild looking links" and Greg Norman thought the back nine was the "best in Britain". Tough par fours, huge dunes and sandhills are most prominent on this course with excellent views from elevated tees on the inward half.  A round of golf at Hillside is a truly memorable experience and many visitors consider the course equal to anything the Open Championship venues have to offer.
