Catering for all levels of golfer is by no means the easiest thing to do, as golf club secretaries will no doubt testify. No such problem for the course at Saunton Golf Club - they have two championship standard courses with enough challenges to keep all standards of player happy. The East course measures 6779 yards from the first tee to the eighteenth pin, and has some very unique, individual and tricky holes to negotiate for your pleasure. If it were ever decided to increase the number of courses on the Open Championship rota, then the East Course would certainly be an obvious candidate. As it is, the course is as natural a links as you would be likely to find and has hosted many prestigious amateur events.  As Nick Faldo has said, "I love links golf and, though I rarely get an opportunity to visit the West Country, I am a huge fan of Saunton. I've no doubt that if the East Course were located on the coast of Lancashire or Kent it would have hosted an Open Championship by now".
