Located on an island in Dublin Bay, Royal Dublin is a private members club with a warm welcome for visitors from home and abroad. We believe they have one of the finest golf links in Ireland. Originally designed by the renowned architect, Harry Colt, 2006 sees the completion of the final phase of the magnificent programme of improvement by the doyen of links development, Martin Hawtree. In addition to a radical redesign of the 6th, 7th and 8th holes, over three winters Mr Hawtree has adjusted the architecture of every hole. His team has raised all of the greens, adding beautiful contouring. From May 1st, 2006, the course will be open for play in its new and challenging form. Bull Island, home to The Royal Dublin Golf Club, is a protected wildlife habitat with a fabulous range of flora and fauna. Despite this, it is only three miles from Dublin city centre.
