Rosslare Golf Club is the hidden gem of Irish links courses, Situated in the sunniest part of Ireland,?the extreme south east of County Wexford, it stands on a narrow peninsula with the Irish Sea on one side and the huge expanse of Wexford Harbour on the other. The backdrop of water and dunes makes for an exhilarating vista and wind plays a major part in the intricacies of this Hawtrey and Taylor designed layout. Opened in 1905, the vista that greets the golfer on the Rosslare links has a capacity to enthral the onlooker. Generations of visitors have witnessed the sea in all its moods. Today the regular comings and goings of the huge car ferries and container ships at Rosslare Harbour present an interesting source of diversion. The pier at Rosslare Harbour is clearly visible.
