6,730 yards • Par 72

Founded in 1888, the course was redesigned in 1927 by the world famous golf architect Dr Alexander (Alister) Mackenzie, whose work includes such famous courses as Augusta National, Cypress Point and Royal Melbourne. This championship parkland course is as graceful and mature as its age would suggest. Scenically situated in Cork harbour, the club has played host to major Amateur and Professional Championships over the years, including the Carrolls Irish Open, The Irish Professional and The Irish Close Championships and The National Finals. The tricky par 4, 4th and the par 5, 5th bring the lovely Lough Mahon into play, while the tee on the 6th is beautifully situated on a tiny peninsula. The complexity of the course attracts top class golfers, while the forward tees test and delight the competent player. Cork golf club has hosted many amateur and professional championships, is playable all year and is always in immaculate condition. Visitors will bring away many memories of this outstanding test of golf.
