Clarion Sligo - a landmark building boasting a striking granite exterior, which has been lovingly restored into an impressive contemporary hotel with landscaped gardens and spacious parking. We would be happy to add one or two more if you want to play 36 holes on any day, or swop any round with the courses we've suggested.
   
Ballyliffin Glashedy  
In keeping with the tradition and reputation of its sister courses, the Glashedy Links at Ballyliffin provide a wonderful setting for traditional links golf. In 1992 members of the committee met with Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock, both course architects from Dublin. Ruddy and Cradock, in that meeting, stated that the land next to the Old Links was probably the finest piece of links golfing terrain that they had ever seen, and the possibilities for developing it as a golf links were mind-boggling.The instruction to the designers was to develop a world-class championship standard links courses-something they duly delivered. At over 7,000 yards from the Championship tees, Glashedy Links stands today as a supremely testing and stunningly beautiful links course. Glashedy is destined for recognition as one of the world's finest links.
Donegal  
Donegal Golf Club is located on Murvagh Peninsula in Donegal Bay, not far from Donegal Town in the north of Ireland. The course officially opened in 1976 and is considered one of Ireland's finest. The Bluestack Mountains serve as a backdrop for the links, and Donegal Bay and the northwest Atlantic Ocean bracket the peninsula.  Donegal is undoubtedly one of the best in the North West and is continually rated in the top 20 courses in Ireland. This Murvagh masterpiece is often described as the Muirfield of Ireland with similar terrain and loops of nine design. At nearly 7,300 yards (championship) ) this course is long. The serious golfer needs to be at his or her best, while those less serious will still enjoy.
Carne  

Carne Golf Links lies in magnificent unspoiled sand dunes overlooking Blacksod Bay and the wild Atlantic Ocean in the west of Ireland. Carne was the last links course to be designed by the late Eddie Hackett and it is now believed by many who have played it to his greatest challenge. Tees and greens occurred naturally and very little earth moving was involved in the course construction. There are some breathtaking views over the Atlantic and the legendary islands of Inis Gloire and Inis Geidhe. Eddie Hackett once said "I just dress up what the Good Lord provides". Although it would have been possible to remove some of the many "semi-blind" shots on this golf course, Eddie Hackett left the terrain as it was found.The result is a golf course that may have peers but does not have betters.

Enniscrone  

With its dunes, humps, hollows, rough and fast greens, Enniscrone gives the golfer a picture of life as it must have appeared many centuries ago. Rugged dunes unchanged over the course of time, a bracing wind, clear sky, the most beautiful beach in the world, the Moy Estuary and the Atlantic Ocean are set against the majestic backdrop provided by the Nephin and Ox Mountains. Many memorable holes exist at Enniscrone while each one tests the golfer's skills and concentration to the limit. Donald Steele was commissioned to design an additional nine holes in the late 1990's. These holes were completed by early 2001 and have been integrated into the original layout. The present championship course at Enniscrone now represents as fine a test of links golf as one can find anywhere.

Rosses Point  
County Sligo Golf Club, better known in Ireland as Rosses Point, lies literally in the shadow of the great Benbulbin Mountain. Ever since its creation in 1894 by Colt & Allison, it has belonged to the ranks of the best of Championship courses and every year, since 1923, it has been the scene of the West of Ireland Amateur Championship. From nearly every point there are breathtaking views of the mountains, the sea and the almost endless hilly countryside surrounding the County Sligo Course. The length of the course is 6,645 yards, and a round of its 18 splendid holes is a memorable experience for anyone. It extends along the cliffs overlooking the sea, and the fairways are considered the most undulating in Ireland.
