Grand Hotel Tremezzo Palace |
| |
| |
| |
Dating back to the beginning of the century, Grand Hotel Tremezzo Palace overlooks the Lake Como where the landscape is enchanting. Hundred windows over the Lake Como reflections, with a beautiful view on Bellagio, Villa Melzi, Villa Serbelloni and Villa Balbianello and a centuries old park, which borders with the botanic garden of Villa Carlotta. Grand Hotel Tremezzo Palace is one of the oldest hotels on the Lake Como and is situated close to the Golf Club Menaggio and Cadenabbia. The saloons with frescos and the rooms are furnished with vintage objects and furniture, which preserve the flavour and the glamour typical of the Belle Époque hotels. Don’t miss having lunch at Grand Hotel Tremezzo Palace. A light snack at the border of its main swimming pool, a quick meal or a romantic aperitif at the fascinating Candle Bar, and for dinner the refined menu in one of the two elegant restaurants.

Hotel Albergo Lenno |
| |
| |
The Albergo Lenno is a delightful four star hotel dating back to the beginning of the 1900's and has been beatifully restored and updated. It has a superb position overlooking the lake and surrounded by fantastic scenery. On a deckchair near the swimming pool, you can spend a quiet relaxing afternoon, or benefit of the sauna. In the evening you can have dinner at our restaurant, that offers a fresh menu every day. On arrival you can leave your car in their indoor garage and you may choose to leave it there as the hotel is directly in front of the wharf where the boats of the Navigazione Laghi leave. We recommend their rooms with balcony overlooking their lake. Furniched in traditional style, they are equipped with satellite TV, fridge-bar and safe-deposit box, air conditioning and telephone. |

| Carimate |
Carimate lies in the heart of Brianza, just 16 miles from Milan and 10 miles from Como. It is set in the green woods which have for centuries offered welcome shade to those fleeing the city on hot summer days. The Carimate Golf Club is situated on the estate surrounding a large medieval castle which still stands today. Founded in 1960, the course was designed by Piero Mancinelli. It's fairways wind their way through huge rhododendron bushes alternated with age-old majestic oaks flanking the course.
| Villa D'Este Golf |
The Villa d'Este Golf Club lies beyond the wonderful lake of Montorfano in a splendid setting in the sunny Brianza, a short 5 mile drive from Como. It is situated at a height of 1,200 feet in what could easily be described as a Scottish landscape. This 6,365 yard course was designed in 1926 by Peter Gannon. The layout winds it's way between chestnut groves, birch and pine woods. It is considered to be one of the most varied and difficult of the European "par 69" courses. This is manifested by the number of important international tournaments held at the Villa d'Este each year.
| Monticello Golf Club |
A 36-hole layout comprising the 'Red' and 'Blue' courses. Many renowned players from the golfing world have played here, most during the four Italian Opens held at this course. A short 7 mile drive from Como, Italian designer Luigi Caccia Dominioni created a layout which marries the essential characteristics of golf in this region – tree lined fairways, views of the surrounding mountains and the use of water on many holes to keep the golfer's interest peaked at all times.
| Menaggio |
In contrast to the relatively flat terrain of Le Robinie, this course lies in the rugged mountains, just west of the town of Menaggio, on Lake Como. It is the second oldest golf club in Italy, founded in 1903 by an Englishman, and in the English tradition, includes numerous and sometimes difficult hazards. Par is 70, and it plays 5455 meters (6,000 yards) from the back tees, and 4810 meters (5291 yards) from the front tees. The club house is also historic, containing a library with one of the most precious collections of golf publications in the world. It also has a first class restaurant for us to enjoy a leisurely lunch with magnificent views of the Alps, and of Lake Como below.
