If you want the chance to see this land of rolling moorlands, glaciated mountain areas, unspoilt coastlines and romantic castles, staying in some superb hotels along the way, then this combined Welsh South & North tour could be just what you're looking for:
You have already seen the wonderful array of sightseeing on our South Wales & North Wales tours, and so we've combined the two into one-action packed visit.
Wales might be a comparatively small country, but the driving distances can be deceptive. While the roads in both the north and south are very good, driving between the two takes a lot longer than it looks - a minimum 4 hours. So, you'll need to allow the best part of a day, when travelling from one region to the other. Ideally, add on an extra day or two to get the most out of this wonderful tour, as there is so much to see.
This fabulous combined tour will enable you to sample the best of the South - from the bustle of Cardiff Bay, to the spellbinding coastline of the Gower Peninsula. The stunning Caerphilly Castle will entrance you, and the spirit of Wales is to be found at St Fagans National History Museum. As you drive into the north, you can savour the unique village of Portmeirion as you you venture into Snowdonia - an area of outstanding beauty. You'll be able to visit two spectacular castles at Harlech & Beaumaris, and explore the beguiling landscape on the Isle of Anglesey.
We know you'll have the vacation of a lifetime when you sample the best of both worlds in this tour of South & North Wales.

Italianate village, famous as the setting for the cult 1960's TVseries, 'The Prisoner', starring Patrick Mcgoohan. Clough Williams-Ellis opened Portmeirion in 1926 on a peninsula off the coast of Snowdonia to demonstrate how a naturally beautiful site could be developed without spoiling it.

This unusual, yet magnificent building, located in the county town of Anglesey was the last Welsh castle of Edward I. In keeping with its 'fairytale' appearance, even the name 'Beaumaris' is derived from the French for beautiful marsh - 'le beau marais'.
