London is a very accessible city; it has five international airports, an efficient road network and extensive Underground, train, bus, and taxi services. The city is famous for a wealth of history and culture. Home to Britain’s national art collections, the Royal family and a host of major attractions, London’s rich history, striking architecture and over 200 museums offer a unique cultural experience. Despite a population of over seven million, more than 30% of London is made up of parks and green space, greater than any other city of its size in the world. . London also offers some of the best shopping opportunities in the world. From major department stores to designer boutiques and street markets - the choice is immense. As if that wasn’t enough, London is hard to beat when it comes to nightlife. | |
| |
| St George's Hill |
St George's Hill must be one of the best of the classic Surrey heathland courses. It was laid out by Harry Colt in 1913 and remains today a golfing gem. Each hole, of which there are three loops of nine, is memorable and individual in character, with heather, silver birch and stately Scots pine - the fairways are undulating and follow the natural contours of the land.
| Walton Heath |
Having hosted over 60 major amateur and professional championships in its illustrious history, Walton Heath has been graced by the 1981 Ryder Cup, 5 European Open Tournaments, as well as such prestigious amateur events such as the Senior Open, the English Amateur, the Brabazon Trophy, and the British and English Ladies Amateur. Founded in 1903, The Old Course is one of the finest examples of heathland golf, and is ranked as one of the top 100 courses in the world.
| Foxhills |
Courses like Sunningdale, Swinley Forest and Foxhills were all built on the beautiful, gently undulating and well-forested terrain of the Surrey-Berkshire border country. As a result, Foxhills offers some of the best golfing challenges and conditions you'll find anywhere in the UK. The 6,743-yard Longcross and the 6,892-yard Bernard Hunt championship courses
offer a mesmerising blend of challenges that include the very best features of
classic inland course design. |
