Lanhydrock Hotel, nr Bodmin, Cornwall

Family owned, Lanhydrock has always been a favourite for business and pleasure due to its genuine warm welcome and open hospitality...these important values have now been extended into creating a wonderful hotel and bistro. Each dramatic and very different coastline is only a genuine 20 minute drive away and the hotel is surrounded by mystical moorlands and some of Cornwall’s most popular attractions.

The key to Lanhydrock Hotel is affordable luxury and the owners have been creatively involved at all levels of its design and build. The personal touch is the overriding ethos within the hotel and interior designers have worked closely with the owners to produce a range of relaxing interiors. The Nineteen Bistro and Bar offers relaxed dining both at lunchtime and in the evenings. A modern English menu features local produce wherever possible and the chef has created some unique Lanhydrock signature dishes for your enjoyment.

Lanhydrock Golf Club, based just over a mile outside Bodmin, makes full advantage of the moorland countryside to create a visually stunning course. It is reasonably flat, so is easy on the legs, and makes full advantage of its numerous natural water features. After a generous front nine, the closing half of your round tests every aspect of your game unapologetically. Holes ten to thirteen are, in particular, a difficult sequence of holes to negotiate. Do not be fooled by the apparently 'easy' par three at eleven. As well as a creek, deceptively placed just in front of the severely uneven green, but obscured by the thick rough, there are also overhanging trees guarding your approach.
