The Almenara golf course has three loops of nine which wind there way though natural parkland and is surrounded by extensive vegetation of pine and cork oak trees and two lakes that have been integrated perfectly into the course design as well as several streams. Golfers can enjoy impressive views of the Mediterranean Sea and the hills that surround the golf resort.
The 27 holes can be divided to offer different combinations of 18 holes with each variation presenting new challenges for the golfers. The Almenara golf course has been designed with all abilities in mind, although plenty of water, high lipped fairway bunkers, very hilly terrain & narrow fairways mean you need to think your way around the course, rather than hit and hope!

Alcaidesa is unlike any other course in the Costa del Sol, as it’s the only links golf course in Spain. Set in the lovely rolling countryside of the western Costa del Sol with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean, across to the Rock of Gibraltar and Morocco’s Atlas mountains beyond. Alcaidesa golf course runs along the edge of the Mediterranean with four beachside holes where there is no escaping the silence. It is not all low-lying, there are some windswept heights offering some different challenges. The wide fairways are bordered by gorse and heather, catching any wayward shots, with immaculate greens that are not too large or tricky. The Spanish PGA have held several tournaments here and over the years a lot of work and improvements have been carried out to make this a course suitable yet challenging for all handicaps. |

La Reserva de Sotogrande Golf Club, often referred to as the sister course to Almenara Golf, is the latest golf course to be constructed in Sotogrande, opened in 2003 it has already gained a reputation as one of the best on the Costa del Sol if not in Spain. Located in a gated community, La Reserva is a discrete, relaxing and friendly environment, the club house is built in a country house style and is one of the most impressive structures inside and out on the Costa del Sol. Facilities within the club house are unrivalled whilst keeping an Andalucian feel.
In keeping with modern course design, the fairways are wide and undulating with strategically placed fairway bunkers while the greens, although large are often multi tiered and heavily contoured as well as guarded with crystal white greenside bunkers.
