HOTEL

Runnymede Hotel

Hampton Court, Windsor Castle, Wisley Gardens are all on your doorstep…and yet be in the centre of London within 30 minutes. The Runnymede is the perfect location for your ‘tale of two cities’. On the river, just 5 minutes from the Magna Carta and JFK Memorials, The Runnymede provides a relaxed, stylish base for visitors keen to explore the local historic, sporting, natural and theme park attractions. The hotel itself has lots to offer. Be pampered in the luxurious spa, as you treat yourself to a facial, manicure or massage. Dip into their 18 metre pool, whirlpool, saunas and steam room. Or exercise in the dance studio, gymnasium or one of the outdoor tennis courts. Leftbank, their riverside restaurant serves modern European dishes in a contemporary aquatic-themed setting. Charlie Bell's is more casual, with simple, succulent food cooked theatrical-style in an open kitchen. The bedrooms have all been stylishly refurbished, and many come with riverside views.

GOLF

St George's Hill
St George's Hill must be one of the best of the classic Surrey heathland courses. It was laid out by Harry Colt in 1913 and remains today a golfing gem. Each hole, of which there are three loops of nine, is memorable and individual in character, with heather, silver birch and stately Scots pine - the fairways are undulating and follow the natural contours of the land.
Walton Heath
Having hosted over 60 major amateur and professional championships in its illustrious history, Walton Heath has been graced by the 1981 Ryder Cup, 5 European Open Tournaments, as well as such prestigious amateur events such as the Senior Open, the English Amateur, the Brabazon Trophy, and  the British and English Ladies Amateur. Founded in 1903, The Old Course is one of the finest examples of heathland golf, and is ranked as one of the top 100 courses in the world.
The Berkshire
Often considered to be on a par with Sunningdale and Wentworth, this is another of the great courses laid out among Berkshire's heather and forests. With two courses to choose from, the Red and the Blue, each hole isolated among the trees of the ancient Crown property hunting forest in Windsor, this is a classic test of accuracy and positioning.
West Hill

West Hill Golf Club was founded in 1909, and is one of the well known group of classic heathland courses in Surrey. It comprises a harmonious blend of heather and mature trees to set up a lovely visual experience as well as superb golfing enjoyment. At just over 6350 yards the course is not long by present day standards but it has its own demands. For anyone wishing to spend a day playing golf on a mature, well designed and scenic course with the ultimate prize of a good score, West Hill must come into the reckoning
