Woking is the most charming and charismatic of courses, laid out in 1893 by Tom Dunn. Best defined as an 'inland links', the great golf architect Tom Simpson said that Woking was the course he would choose to play for the rest of his life if he were ever to be restricted to one choice.

West Hill is the youngest of the W's. Cuthbert Butchart, a Scottish professional from Carnoustie, laid out the course in 1910, which has remained virtually untouched ever since. The fairways are lined with pine, birch and of course, tangly heather. If it's charm you're looking for, then look no further than West Hill.
